Ordnance Survey and the PSMAFor Local and Central Government and Public Sector organisations, Ordnance Survey data is incredibly valuable for forward planning, logistics and informed decision making.  In 2011 The Ordnance Survey launched its new licensing model – the Public Sector Mapping Agreement (PSMA) - to make it even easier for these groups to access and make use of its data. This is a new 10 year agreement for the Public Sector in England and Wales which provides access to core geographic datasets from Ordnance Survey for free at the point of use for all eligible public sector bodies. In Scotland, the equivalent agreement is known as One Scotland.

The PSMA and One Scotland Agreements provide access to core geographic datasets from The Ordnance Survey making them free at the point of use for all eligible member organisations. These argreements provide a common geographic framework for the Public Sector and enables positive sharing of information.

GO Loader and the PSMA

GO Loader can be used by all Public Sector organisations to load all GML products that come under the PSMA and One Scotland Agreement. The great thing about GO Loader is, because it is standard based, you can load and XML/GML dataset not just those covered by the agreements, for example OS Open Data, INSPIRE themse or Open Street MAp.
