Both Eurocontrol's SESAR programme and the FAA NextGen programme are underpinned by interoperable and standards based exchange models such as AIXM5 and WXXM. Based on the Geography Markup Language (GML), AIXM5 and WXXM are the key enablers for data exchange in the move towards System Wide Information Management (SWIM).

Snowflake is Europe's only training provider in the Geography Markup Language (GML) and has delivered courses to numerous leading organisations throughout Europe, including Dutch Kadaster, EU Joint Research Council, UK Ministry of Defence, Met Office and Hyrdographic Office.

The following courses are excellent pre-requisites to gain an understanding of GML and standards based data exchange within future Air Traffic Management:

• GML Fundamentals

  A 1day introductory course in the Geographic Markup Language (GML), with practical examples of AIXM5 and WXXM

• GML Hands On

  A 2 day workshop based course in the design, creation and extension of GML application schemas.
