A Complete Solution for AIXM within AIM
The FAA and Eurocontrol sponsored OWS6-AIM testbed successfully proved that Snowflake's products and expertise are a key enabler in the move towards SWIM and digital Aeronautical Information Management (AIM). Snowflake provided the server side infrastructure for the testbed through the deployment of its GO Loader product to build, load and update (via xNOTAM) an AIXM5 compliant database. Snowflake's GO Publisher product was then used to publish AIXM5 (baseline and temporal deltas) in addition to issuing xNOTAM events.

Loading AIXM and xNOTAM with GO Loader
| GO Loader is a generic digital AIM database loading tool capable of loading and managing any AIM exchange format into any given relational database model. With the advent of AIM, and the proliferation of digital exchange formats such as AIXM5, xNOTAM, WXXM and AMXM, its essential that digital AIM databases are consistently kept up to date within the ever changing aeronautical world. GO Loader is proven to load AIXM5, AIXM5.1, xNOTAM and WXXM. Its unique ‘schema aware’ technology adapts itself to new releases and new exchange models without the requirement of software change. Run interactively or as java or scripted API, GO Loader can be easily integrated into existing systems and run as a background process. |

Publishing AIXM5 and xNOTAM with GO Publisher
GO Publisher is a web services solution enabling the encoding and exchange of Aeronautical and Weather Information in
digital format. Based on the Open Geospatial Consortium’s Web Feature Service standard, GO Publisher is built on unique ‘schema mapping’ technology and critically solves the key requirement of: “I want to publish to AIXM5, xNOTAM and WXXM from my existing database”. Building digital aim services on top of existing infrastructure not only maximises investment return, it also removes the need for a ‘big bang’ change in the transition towards new aviation exchange standards.
